HAMPSHIRE FA LAUNCH NEW RESPECT INITIATIVE

To support the Respect and safeguarding campaigns, the HFA Referees Department have started to issue Yellow Armbands to Youth Referees (referees under the age of 18 years old).

The League adopted the policy at the AGM, and will started to supply Yellow Armbands to Referees that are not registered with Hampshire.

Abuse towards referees is a Child Welfare issue, the League unfortunately, have had 3 discipline cases in this area this season against team management. Please remind your coaches that bullying a Youth Referee is not acceptable and is a safeguarding concern.

Your Respect Steward also has a responsibility to protect a Youth referee and must report any incidents. Remember they are children!
